Dr. Christopher Parent was born in Northern Maine and grew up near Bangor. From a young age, Dr. Parent knew he wanted to become a dentist when he grew up. He received his bachelor's degree from Liberty University in Virginia and returned to Maine for dental school. He received a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of New England.
After an externship in dental school at Harrington Health Center near Machias, Dr. Parent dedicated three years to working in public health and helped provide access to dental care.
